Residential Visits

The children at Bridge Farm Primary School have the opportunity to go on lots of school trips. In year four there is a residential trip to the Forest of Dean and in year 6 there is a residential trip to Morfa Bay. There are also many day trips to places such as the Roman Baths, the Red Lodge and Bristol Museum. For these trips please visit the class pages.

Year 4 Residential Trip to The Forest of Dean

The children will stay at the Dean Field Studies Centre in Parkend which is fully centrally heated, provides excellent food, has a drying room, a lounge and a games room as well as 'classroom' facilities. During their stay they will undertake a variety of problem-solving, teamwork exercises and also field study activities which relate to the Year 4 curriculum.
This is the Centre where the children stay.
The children will also get the opportunity to enter the ancient iron ore mines in Clearwell Caves (with parental consent only) under the supervision of a qualified Mine Deputy. Each group will be accompanied throughout the trip by teachers from school and will also be taught by the Centre's staff.
Year 6 Residential Visit to Morfa Bay Outdoor Centre

The Outdoor Centre staff have over 14 years of experience dealing with Primary Schools and offer a huge range of outdoor activities. The accommodation for the children is bunkhouse style. The food is excellent and is served in a large dining room. Other facilities include a games room, shower and toilet blocks and vending machines for snacks and drinks. There is a large field where they can play football and a park area that can be used during their free time.
